There’s something special about photographing a wedding at Wölffer Estate. The vineyard, the light, the landscape—it all creates such a beautiful sense of place, but what I love most are the moments that happen within it.
Located in Sagaponack in the Hamptons, Wölffer Estate is one of those places that photographs beautifully from every direction. The rows of vines, the open landscape, the architecture, and the soft evening light all become part of the story of the day.
For this Wölffer Estate wedding, there were so many moments throughout the day that felt genuine and completely their own. The anticipation while getting ready, the excitement of seeing one another, time spent with family and friends, and all the little moments in between.

At Wölffer Estate, there is so much variety to work with. The vineyard creates a beautiful backdrop for portraits and family photographs, while the estate and surrounding landscape give the day a relaxed, distinctly Hamptons feeling.
I try not to force those moments.
I want to give my couples enough direction that they feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera, while still leaving room for the day to happen naturally. Some of my favorite photographs are the ones I didn’t plan for and the expression that lasts for only a second, a quiet interaction between family members, or something happening in the background that I happen to notice.
Those photographs often end up meaning the most.
